After messing with the carbs(leaking, not running right, etc.), I decided to move on to something better. After talking with Tom Langdon(http://stoveboltengineco.com/), he suggested I upgrade to the Carter/Webber 2bl carbs & upgrade to a HEI ignition. So parts are ordered. Should be here in a few days. Hope that this will get my truck to a solid running/driving state.

Carb Tuning
Been trying to tune the carbs so they are not running so rich. Well after a couple days of messing with it, I was able to get it to a decent tune, but its not where I want it still. It would appear the return spring on the first carb is not strong enough as it is off by about 1/8 " sometimes. Not all the time, just every now and then causing it to idle high. A couple revs of the motor and it returns to normal.
